Chinese New Year

Our dedicated Lifestyle team continue to find new and innovative ways to celebrate our diverse community with events and activities to mark special occasions such as Chinese New Year.

2023 marks the year of the Rabbit and the Lions Haven community celebrated with a cultural afternoon to welcome the coming Lunar New Year.

Residents, staff and guests enjoyed a traditional dragon dance that included three dragons, which weaved their way around our residents as they sat in our outdoor dining area. The residents, family and friends had the opportunity to feed the dragons oranges and interact with the presentation.

A buffet style ‘Yum Cha’ afternoon tea was served in each of the houses and proved popular with residents, staff and guests.

The residents also experienced a mixed martial arts demonstration that showcased dance and traditional fighting techniques.
