Exciting Changes to Lions Haven Board – Welcoming A New Member and Leadership Roles

Lions Haven is thrilled to announce some notable changes to our board, reinforcing our commitment to excellence in aged care. A warm welcome is extended to our newest board member, Shane Wright from the Upper Coomera Lions Club, who was nominated and elected as a director late last year.

In a heartfelt message, Shane expressed his enthusiasm, saying, “I am honored to have been elected as a director on the Lions Haven board. I am very pleased that in this capacity, I will have the opportunity to assist in maintaining and improving the already excellent standard of care provided by the staff at Lions Haven.”

Shane and his wife Margaret made the move to the Gold Coast three years ago from Sydney, driven by family ties with a son nearby and a daughter and grandchildren residing in Launceston. With a wealth of experience in the aged care sector, including roles such as Aged Care complaints unit manager, accredited auditor with the Aged Care Standards and Accreditation Agency, and a former hostel and retirement village manager, Shane brings valuable insights to our dynamic team.

“I have broad experience in the aged care sector and look forward to the opportunity to meet and talk with you in the months ahead,” Shane shared, emphasizing his commitment to connecting with the Lions Haven community.

Furthermore, we extend heartfelt congratulations to Kellie Trigger on her new role as the Chair of the Board. Kellie’s dedication and leadership have been integral to Lions Haven’s success, and we look forward to her continued guidance. Additionally, a big congratulations to Dianne Reilly, who has transitioned into the Deputy Chair role while retaining her position as Secretary. These appointments reflect our board’s commitment to fostering strong leadership and collaboration as we continue to provide exceptional care for our residents.
